i wanna lower my 99 gs, im gonna put 18s on it but what brand of coilovers ?? or lowering kit should i go with... i heard that the sport lines are pretty sh*tty, i found a kit of tokico springs with the tokico illuminia for around 430?? ive heard that the hks are really good... if i get coilovers do i need to replace my original shocks ? ( my car only has 50k ) what do i need to do... im clueless on lowering my car.... :dsm: a few good websites would help out too

I seen so many threads about this. Use the search option. I would use eibach pro kit, and illuminas

I used to have Eibach Sportline springs and KYB shocks on my car. That was until the emissions place wouldn't let me go with my car being as low at it is. They rode really nicely. The springs made my car low!
Now, I invested money into Tein coilovers. These things are awesome!!! For everyday use I can have my car raised. But for shows I can slam it! Best of both worlds! They ride nicely. :) Oh yeah, they love the corners!

RRE says sportlines give you more drop but you sacrifice for shittier ride/ Thats why I went w/ a pro kit and IMO it gives the perfect body height and isn't noticably bouncy

I also use the sportline/ tokico HP combo. I love it. The ride quality isnt too bad, and remember, a 12 sec. sports car isnt supposed to ride like a cadillac. My car sits extremely low, and I love it. I dont normally have any problems driving it anywhere I need to go. I would deffinately recommend this set-up. Here's a nice side shot to show how low it is.

I don't believe it.....my eclipse had the sportlines and it rode like a dream.....no bouncing or rough ride at all......they ride just as good as the pro kit but I had the top part of my 18's tucking.....:D
