ok so i want to do SOMETHING with my tails, id love to have the Euro ones, but i AM NOT paying 500 for god damn lights... and i flat out HATE clears they look cheap (IMO) so i know these things exsit its just the matter of finding them.....

first off these lights: they look almost stock, they are entirly solid red.. however they are more "clearly" like you can see inside them a little bit and they light up differently and brighter then stock, please tell me im not crazy and these things do exsist - like hyper something or other?

also: these lights i think are more custom but im not sure even how to go about it, they look like the euro lights, with the amber corners, but instead of the corners being red, they are clear. they look pretty good and even would be the way to go if you wanted to paint the clear part amber.

and with the stock tails, is it possilbe to do what i just said^ by like peeling the red off the stock lights at the corners? i know it really isnt possible i guess seeing how the actually plastic is red but anyway to make the corners on the stock tails clear? or amber??

I've seen the red tails you are talking about, not too often though. They are called crystal red or something. You could maybe get some cheap altezzas and paint the out clear part red, that would be the same effect I think.
And you can't peel the stock red off or paint over it, it's too dark.

yea thats right, its called crystal red or whatever, anyone know where i can get these lights at?

my personal opinion: i have never seen this done but i thought it would be neat. Go ahead and get some altezza style lights from ebay for cheap. then go and buy a can of glass tinting(black) and tint the taillights black. then, when they are on or using the brakes they still have a "unique" pattern to them, but when they are off, they look very clean and stealth looking. I think this would look really good if it works as i planned.
just my 2 cents!

i was thinking about tinting my tails and then painting the center piece.. i am going with the reb/black theme and thought was a way to go.. im not positive yet, but i know id rather have the stockish looking lights or the stock ones with amber/clear corners.. who knows?

i dont think the crystal reds are around anymore. i use to see them everywhere but havent in as while. just buy the clear euros and paint them thats what im gonna do

racerwheel.com has the lights you want. they are made by apc i think. if i knew how to do a link i would give you one but i dont.

thats right, they are called cystal lights!

where can you get the clear euro type lights??? those are what i REALLY want!!

keep us updated on those crystal red tails, they look pretty sweet if you would paint the center section.
