im trying to put vinyl over my door insert, and i cant get it to stretch, how do i do it! thx LOL

im guessing, i glue a tiny section at a time and slowly move and stretch it.

when i tried doing it, i sprayed the whole surface with glue. Then i layed the vinyl on top of the insert of the door. Then work from the middle to the edges with a bondo scraper. and smooth it out.

I work with vinyl all day. You have to be nice to it and have lots of scrap. Also what kind of vinyl do you have? Some are a bit more kind to work with. What you can do is use a little bit of soapy water and a heat gun. The water allows the vinyl to sit for a bit but not totally screw you by sticking all the way. With the heat gun warm it up to a point where you can see it almost melt and then stretch. Dont keep the heat in one spot or you will just pull one area and it wont look right. I hope some of this helps you out.

ill try a hairdryer on it and see how good that works on some scrap, thanks
