Hi all, I need a little advice.
My 96 stock Talon spoiler started to oxidize so I took it off and instead of just re-painting it I wanted to get a 97 Talon spoiler and put that on.
So I've got all the holes from the stock spoiler and I made about 6 more for the new 97 OEM spoiler.
It doesn't work all that well for me because it leaks and I was thinking about taking it to a body shop to patch up.
I took it to a repair shop and they said it'd be $800 to fill the holes and re-paint everything.
So anyway my problem is what should I do now?
My choices are:
1. I can pay $800 for them to fill the holes and paint the lid and my 97 spoiler.
2. I can get a 97 trunk lid and paint it if its not the same color,(Black and White stock paint), and I would also need to re-paint my 97 spoiler. I could probably get a trunk lid for 2-3 hundred, maybe a little more.
3. Get a lid with no holes for a spoiler and just install it on, leave off the 97 spoiler, and get painted if needed.
I'm kind of leaning towards 2 because then I'd keep my spoiler, that I love, and I wouldn't need to worry about a body shop or leaks.
Thanks for your time.
