Hey guys,
wheel i have a set of BBS wheels, with lots of legs,i want to paint them black. I got the aircraft remover and sprayed them, thing is the coating comes off but it has a deeper coating that i need to scub down good to get it off and it's damn near impossible on these rims with so many legs.

Is there any way off removing/applying the remover so it can remove all the coating? I mean can i use another thing after like thinner or what?

Also the coating on one of the rims was left on for a few days its dry now, is it worthless do i need to coat it again to remove the wheel coating?

Thanks

Don't the directions say what to use to remove it?

You may have a serious problem, there. Once the remover dries, it essentially changes the paint from being thinner-based to being remover-based. Which is a real bi*** to get off.

Have you checked with a local sandblaster? They could probably clean them with walnut shells for cheap enough to make it worthwhile.

I would try spraying the coating remover on it and then pressure washing it to remove stuborn stuff. Also paint stripper may work better because is is a liquid. and like ^ said walnut shell blasting would work if you can find someone to do it. Dont use sand or glass media though. It will be to rough on the wheels.
