Aftermarket CD Player Decks

Sup guys, shopping around for a new CD deck, I have been looking at a few. Id like it to have MP3 player on the deck, please post some pics of your CD decks as Ive done some search but havent been able to decide which one so far this is the winner....Here is a pic and a link...

you do know that the "premier" pioneer cd players are the walmart editions.... there crappier than the real pioneers. i would suggest paying the extra 20-30 bucks for the actual pioneer, and not a premior... imo

i saw one in my walmart

i do know that pioneer makes a special line just for walmart, so they have cheaper prices. This is actually a the same model as regulars except cheaper parts..... i think the walmarts use premiers.... and the lower end models are two digit model numbers... .example.

Pioneer DEH-P1500 is the regular pioneer model
Pioneer DEH-P15 is the walmart version of the pioneer

Hrmm, I picked up my DEH-P6500 from walmart and I love it. Same stuff circuit city carries, 2/3 the price. And from what I've seen and heard, the premier decks are nice..

I dont know where you got your info from, but Premier ARE better than just the normal pioneer.

Pioneer is decent, but the dials and buttons seem plasticy to me, so I went with alpine, i think its 9807 (mp3 cd) for like 220 bucks online. Oh, and pioneer decks, at least the ones i looked at, don't get 87.7 which is the best rock station here.

i believe all but the top end eclipse decks play mp3's and sound good. i have the eclipse 8443 and it sounds excellent, has 8v outputs, 13band eq, a dual 5 band parametric eq in PRO mode, and lots of great features, but it doesnt play mp3's unless you buy the eclipse commander($$$$$). the deck retails for $420.

Hey yo juggalo ninja that was the deck I was goign to go with but decided not to. It looks nice and all, but I dont know I was jus a little skeptical about the features.

And Daytona, seems like you have a nice deck but that Pioneer I posted on the top has similar features. I believe it only has 6V out though, it has all the other ones, plus Organic Display and what not. I think that Pioneer deck is sick and it retails for almost $900 bucks! $890 to be exact, I got an awesome deal on it got it for $500 shipped brand spankin new. There goes my injectors and AFC, oh well, I got a MAFT blow through coming in!!

I've always used Pioneer and really like them, the deck you showed is very nice. And Pioneer is Pioneer...doesn't matter where you get it from it's all the same stuff.


Check out Alpine as well, from my experience their MP3 players load faster than the Pioneers (if that matters to you). Other nice HU's: Eclipse, Kenwood Excelon, and Clarion.

bigL - that premier is nice too. im not up on the pioneers that much and didnt realize that was the top end model. i like the way that looks and i bet the display is pretty good in the sun. i love my eclipse but my only gripe is the display can be hard to see in the sun. im sure the angle of my dash where its mounted doesnt help though. also if youre not concerned about features, check out Nakamichi's line of head units. they only have very basic features, but supposedly sound amazing.

Naks are awesome, they look like poo though. Nothing fancy or flashy on the outside...looks like a stock HU.

daytona- yea bro it came in today!!! But my damn idiot parents didnt stay home like I asked them to and now I have to wait until tomorow til I get it!! Sure am, its not that hard. I installed my old Pioneer DEH-7500MP, it was no biggie. But its about 11:30 AM and still no CD PLAYER!!! Im gettin impatient!!!

Ok here it is folks!!!! This was sooooo totally worth the wait!!! Well worth the money!!! Has awesome features on it!!! The EQ is one of the best Ive ever messed with!! Makes my infiniti stock speakers knock!!!! Here is a pic at night not the best a little blurry but it looks 10000000x nicer!!!!



PS...I just realized with the money I spent on this I could have gotten a Magnus Intake Manifold!! Oh well I gotta have my sounds!!!!
