i have been trying to figure out what this is. i want to mount my translator here but not with doub;e sided tape. Would it be safe to srew it in?

that has something to do with your heater..its either the Housing for your Fan or has some other funktion...if u dont know what its for,dont do anything till u know more.

That's the AC evaporator. It's an aluminum radiator inside. Screws = bad. Although they'd grab that aluminum really well, the escaping 134a will make you cough.

If you need strong mounting tape, use 3M Badge and Trim tape.

thanks. figure screwing would be a no no but i live on a very dusty road and my car is never clean so i wanted to stay away from mounting tape but i will clean the surface well. thank you.

Cleaning off the surface well and using the tape DEFIANT recommended will hold almost forever man...that 3M stuff is amazing...

So say I got rid of my AC compressor and everything for that, can I remove that plastic piece and take out that radiator thing or whatever it is to remove a few pounds?
