whats wrong with my car

i hope i got the right forum for this, but, the other night when i hit my alarm, my lights didn't flash. i didnt think much of it because i thought it might have been from the cold because it was freezing. well, last night, i was at the mcdonalds drive through and my gauges went out, my hvac lights went out and my aftermarket tach went out. i checked the fuses and they are all good. well, today, when i hit the alarm, it doesnt even chirp. whats wrong here? i dont know if this was it, but my sub has been humming and i unplugged the rca wires and remote wire and left the power and ground plugged in. could that be it? any help is always appreciated.

alright, well i got the chirp back. that was the i guess the valet switch or something by the fuse box in the car got switched when i was checking the fuses. but still no lights.

I would start with checking the grounds and terminals at the battery, when was the last time you cleaned or tightened them? A voltmeter check will tell you if the alternator is charging. VIP or Autozone will check that for free. Hope that helps.

im pretty sure hes making a crack about the unpainted kit

do you know he didn't just put it on the car today and is getting it painted but posted a pic, or its been painted since then??? sheesh. Im no fan of unpainted body kits but it could be a pic from the install or something.....

anyway, im wondering about the aftermarket tach. any problem with my car has almost always been caused by me (i.e. putting something in that goes bad later but i have no experiance with an added tach since the one in the dash is fine with me)

1. why do you need an aftermarket tach?
2. are its connections still good?
3. any fuses blown and which
4. did you get the alt and batt checked yet.

hey. thanks for all the help. i found the problem (and it wasnt the unpainted kit) btw, that was taking at work and its my daily driver. and it is painted now. but the problem was the tail lamp fuse. i didnt expect that to be linked to my gauges. i got a autometer phantom tach from my parents for a gift so i figured to just put it in. i like it. but thanks again. oh and i just realized im on my friends name, so excuse that

hey guys. thanx for the input. i found my problem (and it wasnt the unpainted kit. its my daily driver and that night we put it on and i had to go to work. its painted now.) anyway it was the taillamp fuse. i never would have guessed the gauges to be linked to that. oh well. the reason i have the tach was because it was a gift from my parents and so i put it in. never had any problems with it. its an autometer phantom tach. heres my updated pics.

looks like it was raised so the body kit wouldn't scrape? no? otherwise..... thats more wheel gap than ive ever seen "stock"

no, i didnt raise it any higher than stock. i had coilovers on before i got the kit but it was way to low once i put the kit on so until i get the lowering springs and wheels, i'm riding on stock suspension. i want to get my motor and turbo first.

Wow, I have a bomex kit and I am on stock suspension too, but your car definetely rides higher than mine.

how could i be higher than stock when i have the stock suspension in? i have the same size tires the car came with, same struts and springs. heres another shot of the car.

Is suspension different from an N/T to turbo? That would explain the differences in wheel gap between the two cars.
