need help with wat to get

im gonna make a box... i wanna put 3 10" clarions in there
i just dont know all the amp and everythin and watts... like wat should i get if i want a decent system... ?

you'll want an amp stable down to 2 ohms mono. look into a mono/class d amp (sub amp) that does no more than 500w RMS. using that criteria...i'd go from there....

well like i said, you're gonna want a mono amp. i use jbl...no complaints, awesome amps for the money. might wanna look into rockford fosgate or mtx, kenwood excelon amps are decent. usacoustics are decent. there's alot out there. jbl amps are gonna be your best value tho....you can pick up a mono 1200watt amp for about $300.

thats sounds like a good amp for good money... so that would go good with my 3 x 10" clrions... i think they have about 200watts each...

you'd definetly have to turn the gains on the amp ALL the way down, because the subs would be getting over 400w a piece. next step down in the jbl family is the 600.1 which is what i have...now that would give you a little over 200w rms per sub. costs about $200. i really don't know how good those clarions are and if they could handle the larger amp. just wondering....how much are you getting each of those subs for?

but i think im gettin the 10's at about 150$ each, i think around that... then i hafta get 2 x 6" for my doors... but wat subs do u prefer? any ideas?

unless you're set on the 10's...on www.thezeb.com right now they have a sale on some 12" cerwin vega subs for like $100 (which is a really awesome deal). you could get 3 of those and that jbl 1200.1 and have only spent about $600. even 2 of those cv's and the jbl 600.1 would pound. either way, i know it'd be better than the clarions and cost alot less. for your front speakers i'd recommend a decent component system instead of just some full-range speakers. you'll get alot better highs and mid-bass...which you're gonna need with all that strong bass.

really tho, 2 of those 12" cv's for $200, the jbl 600.1 for $200, decent components for about $200, and an amp (maybe another jbl) for the components for like $100-$150, then a dual amp wiring kit will run you about $50 (ebay). that's only about $800. spend any left over on a good HU (assuming you don't already have one) and a ported sub box. you're set. i'm sure you'd be more than satisfied with a setup like that.
