ok 95 2g with aftermarket radio, what do I need to install a OEM keyless entry system. I dont mind going to stock radio, on my honda you need the stock radio for keyless. Any links or experience is much obliged.

Yea my 99 Accord EX doesn't care about factory radio or not (i put an alpine HU in there). I really don't think you need anything special.

it should just tie in with the alarm system at least thats what mine was like on my 97 talon, of course you also need the remote to open and lock/unlock the doors, just bring your car to a mitsu dealer and im sure they will let you know exactly what you need

If you have a factory alarm on your 2g, then you have keyless entry.

2 things you need to program it yourself.
1) A remote that is compatible with our cars
2) A piece of wire about 2-3 inches in length.

First, on the OBDII port, jump pins 1 and 4 with the wire.

With that done, and the doors closed (I would recommend either leaving the windows down, or sitting in the car) Turn the key to ACC position and back off. At this point the doors should lock and unlock. Press any button on your remote a couple of times (took mine 3 clicks to program it) The doors should relock / unlock again to signal that the code was received. Remove the jumper wire from the OBDII port, and you should be good to go. (take the keys out of the ignition at this point b/c the remote shouldn't work with the keys in the ignition.)

cool thanks alot my car does in fact have the security and alarm, it beeps when activated. Does anyone off hand know the price of a keyless remote? Im going to search but if anyone has gotten one recently it would help. Thank you again for the quick responses.
Andrew

If it beeps when activated, its an aftermarket unit. You'll have to find the brain and figure out what kind it is.
