how to polish my lip

Hey fellas! Im all about performance but i tought i would throw alittle "looks" into my ride. I currently have 2001 Eclipse rims on falken tires and are painted black. I have seen many DSM's with polished lip on their rims and was wondering how can i do it on my rims? If anybody can walk me through on how to do it i would really appriciated. I just want to polish the lip nothing else. What kind of sand paper and what kind of polish should i use? Does any body have any pictures i can look at? allright fellas hope u guys can help me out. You shouldn't need any sandpaper unless it's already coated or painted. Otherwise, just some Mother's or Simichrome or Flitz or whatever polish you prefer, and a few hours of rubbing with a T-shirt.
After the first hour, your fingertips will hurt like hell.
