Okay, I have seen this eclipse around and he has taken his whole back seat out and fiberglassed the back himself and put speakers in it and a LCD screen, OMG I am wanting to do something similar.. Could some one give me some tips on how to work with fiberglass to do such a project.. or maybe give me some links...
much appreciated!!!!!

it's an art. i would highly recommend AGAINST attempting this yourself if you have ZERO experience in the field. why do you think custom stereo shops get so much for it? if i were you, i'd find the guy with that eclipse you like and maybe see if he could help you.

There will be a show in Spartanburg, SC on Sunday (9-1-02). They show is a show-n-shine, sound quality contest, as well as a SPL contest. The shop hosting it, Elite Audio, has several different cars with fiberglass throughout that you can see for your self.

My Eclipse is 100% fiberglass from the b-pillars back. Not too sure that the sub box will be 100% finished by this weekend, but thats ok....

Something to check out....

Fiberglass really isn't that hard to work with it is just really messy and take practice. Don't go trying to make the whole back of your car out of fiberglass before you play with it for a while. I molded my speaker box to fit the side wall of my Eclipse with fiberglass and when I started the project I had never worked with fiberglass before.

I intend on making lots of custom stuff with fiberglass now....next on my list is custom gauge pods and to finish a custom hatch cover.

Thanks!!!

I just went to an auto parts store and bought some fiberglass cloth and fiberglass resin. Then I read the instructions on the packages and started playing around with it. It is very messy and smelly....make sure you wear gloves because it is a royal PITA to get the resin stickiness off of your hands other wise, not to mention it says not to get in contact with your skin.

I think that http://www.fiberglast.com has some tutorials.

Also check out THIS thread.

Hope this helps,
Nate
