where can i find a aftermarket shift knob for auto tranny??

1998 Eclipse GST....Auto tranny....i found a bunch of shift knobs for auto's but they dont have the overdrive button on them...the only one that i found that had the OD button was very expensive

will most likly have to custom mount ur OD button... if u ask me to much of a pain in the ass for somethign like that

Yeah good luck finding a knob with a OD switch. Honestly, rewire the OD switch to a spot under the dash for example. It is just a two wire switch with a stationary on/off circuit. Simple enough plus its a cleaner job when its done. A friend of mine did that to his GTP and it looked sharp.

I have a razo gungrip in my car. It was expensive. The O/D light doesn't work with it, but u know when ur in or out of O/D anyway. I had to modify it a little. I had to put a pin in it so I could press the button down to put the car into 1. Anyway, OBX makes a knock-off of this shift knob. Levoc also has several. If I had to do it over, I would have saved money and bought a regular auto knob and wired up a button on the dash or something. here's a pic of the interior w/ the razo gungrip.

how easy is it to rewire the OD button?? and what would i need to do it?? is it simple enough for a high school student to figure out??

you basically just need to get the stock shift knob out, cut the wires, wire the wires to a switch and be done. Or if you buy a shift knob with a button, it's gonna have wires to splice into. I did it, so anyone should be able to.

Maybe consider just painting the stock shifter. As opposed to stock shifters on other cars, the 2G auto shifter is pretty comfortable if you ask me.

gungrip feels better. how often u gonna hang onto it anyway? it's auto. I've seen painted ones- they look cheap 99% of the time and start chipping.
