someone please help with these indiglo guages

hey i bought some indiglo guages and i want them to come one when i turn on my head lights. i have a red wire which im sure is the positive and then a ground. what do i hook those two wires to so it'll come on when my headlights come on.

I think you run the red to the dimmer switch and the black to any ground.

What ^ said. I would just run a wire to the illumination on the cd player. That would be the easiest thing to do. Thats what I did on mine.

anything that lights up with headlights will work to tap the power wire into. I think I ran a wire to my fuse box and to the tail lamp fuse. That was dumb though. I want to redo it.

thanks for your help guys i will try that tommorow id like to get it done before i store my car and pull out the iron duke.

I did mine more complicated and ran a wirein from the battery to a toggle switch and then to the gauges i turnem on when i want with a flip of a switch, where the little coin tray POS use to be in the center console of my 1g
