Clearing headlights, painting, new bulbs??

I plan to clear my headlights. I also want to paint the inside black. I want to get new bulbs too. If I do paint them what kind of bulbs should I go with? I just want to kind that I can replace the OEM ones with. I don't want to have to tear everything apart. I want bright bulbs too. Any help would be appreciated.

Sylvania Silver Stars are great. Skip anything that says Xenon, Hyper, Blue, Ice, Purple, HID or any of the other worthless hype. If a bulb says 65W -> 100W, it's 65W at most- and few are that powerful.
It's tough to get really good lighting out of the reflectors Mits has saddled us with.
For a 1G, get any of the "European" headlight replacements. Hellas from JC Whitney seem to be about the best. Then look around for 65W/100W bulbs, but make sure they're real.

I have the Silvania SilverStars. And I would have to say that they are the best bulbs I have ever had in my 1G. Ive had over 5-6 different Brands. They all say the same crap. HID's, HyperWhite, Blue, BLAH!. That doesnt mean anything. They were just as bright as stock. I read very good things about Silvania SilverStars so I purchused them. Ive had them ever since. They give out a really bright crisp clean white light with a very small hint of blue/purple at different angles. it looks really cool Check out there site and read up on them. I would recomend them. They are about the best you can get for our cars.
