Are Talon and Eclipse side skirts interchangable??

Hi,

As you can see I'm new to this site, so hello to everybody out there. I have a base model 1995 eclipse RS and I want to do some exterior improvements while keeping everything stock looking. I put on the factory 3 piece spoiler and I picked up a set of the 98 GS-T chrome 5 star wheels. Now I am looking into putting some side skirts on the car as well to finish it off.

My question is will the side skirts from a Talon fit a Eclipse? I found a whole kit from a 95 Talon all 6 pieces and just want to make sure these will bolt up and look right. I know it has the chrysler symbol in the front and the DOHC 16V TURBO on the back but I can fill that in easy enough.

Anybody have any pics of this they can share, and any installation tips would be great.

Sheet metal's the same throughout 2Gs, though you may need to make some holes to properly mount the skirts.

I don't know how successfully you can fill those labels.

If the price is right, I say go with the 6 piece Talon set, but if not find a set from an Eclipse, nothing to fill

Since your RS does not have the mounting holes, you'll be doing some drilling, for all three pieces on both sides. Once the holes are made, the mounting is easy, you'll need the plastic clips from the factory to attach. Good luck!!

Thanks for the replies. I think the price is about as good as I'm going to get $60 for all 6 pieces. My main concern was if they actually bolt up or not.

Does anybody have any pictures they can share of Talon side skirts on a Eclipse?

MAn I'm jealous!

I have a 97 tsi awd and i've been looking for a set of 95 talon skirts for months.

Like you I believe I will have to drill my own holes since the talons did not have skirts those years.

I just think its a shame that they finally got the nose and tail right (agressive) and then deleted the side skirts.

BTW the Eclipse skirts dont have the "indent/ twist" or what ever you call it. they are smooth, wings west sell reproduction skirts if you are looking for the true eclipse look.Best of luck!
