Hey guys, I was in traffic parked behind a Ferrari 360 when I noticed that there was a piece across the back of the car similar to the 2G taillights. I was thinking to myself, what if I got some taillight covers, cut out two holes on each side (for the lights) and molded the two side covers to the center cover, in order to make it one long piece, with two taillights on each side a la ferrari 360 style. what do you guys think? do-able?

i think it looks too small in the butt, it needs to be wider. now dont get me wrong, i like a nice tight ass. but thats just Ehk.

i saw corvette lights on what i think a DSM the other day, looked nice actually.

well, it might look ok. But, its not my style. I would do a real conversion before just adding a molded piece on. Even though I realize it costs much more money...I just don't think the molded piece would look that great.

But then...there is so much more stuff I would spend money on before taillights

My dad's friend is the body guy over here at the houston ferrari dealership [one of 5 certified by ferrari in north america or something] and I've spent some time there. he bought a modena off a customer that didn't want it because of the repairs needed. among other parts, he said the hood alone cost him like 30 g's. I wouldn't want to imagine what taillight assemblies cost :\. cool idea though. I'd probably like it more on a 1g, it would flow better with the lines, IMHO :dsm:

it'll look alright, if its done right i suppose. i'd rather see that then altezza's but thats just my two cents.

I was thinking of something a little different though, with the lights more out, and the centerpiece molded in.

More like 360 style. But it doesn't look as good as I thought. so I'm dropping the idea...

the rear of the first one is fairly decent, if there was less space between the edge and the tailight it would look a lot like mclaren f1

ok, i think the wing is what's making the taillights look weird, it would look good wingless. I copyrighted my design and am now in the process of finding a company to create them (APC maybe?) wish me luck guys:thumb: Any suggestions on a company? If I make it big, I'm buying everyone on this page (before this post) a new fmic.:dsm:
