Why does my radio keep turning off/on?

I finally got my car back after waiting 40 days for a transmission. Everything seems to be ok so far with the exception that my Kenwood XRC-858 keeps shutting on/off. My voltage is at around 13.4v. Any ideas?

mines been doing the same thing, pissed me off so its in the case. i gotta pioneer tho?

You must have bad grounds on you system. Does it happen mostly when you hit bumps?

No. Believe it or not, it happens mostly when I turn the volume up/down, or try to selecct a different song. it's never done that until I got my car back after a 40-day hiatus.

If its turning itself of while your turning the power up I belive your not getting enough power to it and its a saefty automatic shut off rerun a new power wire to it or check your connections

last time it did this it was the grounds. but yea it does it when i hit bumps but its not on enough to notice that anymore. it comes on and skips and sounds horrible
