My head unit is a JVC Khameleon.

Just last night I get in my car and eject the CD that is currently playing. Upon trying to insert the next CD, there was resistance. I couldn't figure it out.

I took a closer look this morning with better light; I noticed there are 4 plastic tabs in the slot. After toying around with various things I discovered that the outer plastic tabs are the "detector tabs." When the CD begins to go in the slot, these tabs are pushed out and the head unit displays a message like "CD loading." I tested this out with two pens. I pushed the tabs manually.

The inner tabs just will NOT move. They are obviously what is blocking me from getting the CD in far enough to get it to load. Also, since they are on the inside, they do not allow the CD to make contact with the detector tabs.

The only other things I have really tried are the following:
Fooling with various settings on my headunit. Even ones that couldn't possibly be related; I figured I might as well try anyway. I also tried turning off the head unit and turning it back on, for whatever that is worth. Of course I tried different CDs, inserting the CD at slightly different angles, turning the car off then on...

If anyone has any ideas or has experienced similar problems in the past, then please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I found a little memory reset switch. I hit it, and the problem went away. Thanks though. =)

Rats, I was gonna say something like that- this newfangled modern jimcrackery sometimes gets a little confused. Often, disconnecting it from the power supply and hooking back up will clear it. I had one that'd changed its FM to Euro specs or something, it was trying to get frequencies out of Jupiter, I guess. It reset and all was well.
