I have a 94 eagle talon. Both the passenger side and driver side doors are hitting the front fenders. This car was pretty much free (from sisters boyfriend). It was like this when I got it. The fenders are messed up (bent), but I can fix them fairly easily. The problem I have is how do I get the doors aligned/adjusted properly, so that they don't hit the fenders when they open? I don't want to fix the fenders until I know the doors won't hit them anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks....

Have you recently jacked the car up at an unsupported spot under the car? Take a towel and a flat screw driver, and bend the fender out a little at a time until the door opens freely.

maybe the car was in an accident if both doors do this. try loosening the bolts to adjust the doors. you know where there at. 1g's are known for the doors to sag in time and eventually hit the fender.

Mine did the same thing to me over the summer. I was severly pissed it chipped the paint all the way on that crease of both the door and the fender.

Carfax comes up negative on being involved in crash. Thanks for the feedback. Will try adjusting the doors this weekend probably. Would the fender be any more flexible if I heated it up a little?

carfax really don't get all accidents. Unless it affects the title of the car, it isn't necessarily on there. my old esi got smashed in the drivers side door, (damn lady in a bmw was driving in the turn lane at 50mph on a 35 street and smashed into me) and its not on the carfax

LOL. My car has been in multiple crashes, all reported to the DMV and insurance companies. Carfax says no accidents. LOL.

You might not have to adjust the doors. Mine used to do that before I got all new body parts. All I did before was loosten all the bolts for the fender and move the fender so it doesnt hit the door anymore. It might work for you. Its worth a shot. If that fails then adjust the doors. I installed new silver doors and it was real easy (for me). I still have some alignment isues to do with but it all works together.
