I just recently had a run in with a big freakin pole. It cause damage to my rear bumper cover and to the 1/4 panel. i was told that the parts cannot be replaced. do i have to have a body shop pull it out and be happy with it not looking the same... or is there someway i make make it look stock again?? Thanks for the help

Yea a semi messed up my quarter panel also and from doing a search I found it is possible to take the panel off but it consists of welding the panel off and on. The panel itself is around 400 bucks. I don't know what your budget is but it all depends on your damage in my opinion. My dent was about 4x3 inches so Im assuming the guy's insurance company is going to have it pulled out. There is a write up that youll surely find in a search.

how hard would it be to take it off? i have a friend that it parting out his gst, so im sure i could use his. im a decent welder...nothing god-like but i can get a job done. On a scale of 1 to 10 how difficult would it be to switch fenders? by the way.. the dent is about a foot by 6 inches right behind the wheel well, just above the bumper.

On a scale of 1-10 it is about a 27! You should not even attempt it if you are not a professional body repair man. The panel has to be cut out with a plasma cutter (not "welded" out) and then the new piece has to be trimmed to fit exactly where the old one was removed from. Lastly, the metal on those panels is very thin and if you have your heat to high you will warp the metal or burn through it. Not a job for a "weekend welder" by any means.

well son of a bi***. all of the body shops around here suck. which means i am gonna have to take it quite a ways away. Any idea on what thats gonna run and about how long im gonna be carless??
