I'm thinking about getting a full body kit after the winter, and shopping around, I find a lot of people selling fiberglass for quite a bit less than urethane. If I got a urethane front, with fiberglass sides/rear, would I be fine?

The only advantage to fiberglass is a lighter weight. Urethane is tougher and usually comes ready to mount right on. My fiberglass body kit had to be molded and stuff to get it to fit right. But yeah that does sound like a good setup considering the most at risk part of your car is the front bumper. So I say go for it.

Where can I find urethane parts? The only thing i've been able to find in urethane is blitz. While I plan on using blitz sideskirts and possibly rear, all of the fronts I am interested in (drift, rdora, aggressor, bomez, skyline r34 octane, buddyclub) all seem to be only in fiberglass.

Will fiberglass cost significantly more to have painted/installed?

I believe all of those fronts come in fiberglass only. The wings west kit may come in urethane. Depending on how it comes out of the mold, a fiberglass kit may cost more to install or may be just as easy as a urethane kit.

Where can I find other urethane fronts? The stillen is OK, I definetely dont' want blitz because it lowers the car too much. I just want some other options.

Fiberglass is brittle -almost like GLASS- while urethane is much more flexible. Curbs, parking lot bumps, bad driveway gulches, dad borrowing the car....

Eurathane also doesn't hold up to air pressure (which defeats the purpose of buying a body kit in the first place, now doesn't it?), also is a bi*** to fix (If you can do it at all), is very heavy, is a bi*** to fit on the car, because most of them are made out of 3rd gen duplications of other ghetto kits, etcetera etcetera etcetera.

The best bet for body kits is to get a Handlaid 7 layer fiberglass kit by someone like Kaminari, Veilside, or Bomex. They all cost more than those ghetto shops out there, but they're made much, much higher quality, and will actually, y'know be durable, won't break if you hit a pot hole, or need to get it fitted. I know Veilside and Bomex come pre-drilled and come with supports.

Anyone who says fiberglass is shit hasn't seen a "quality" kit. And no, I'm not talking about the $300 deals you get on eBay. Get a good kit and it will be EXTREMELY durable. I would much prefer a fiberglass kit for all the reasons stated above. It's just alot easier to work with. If it was shit, why would ferraris, lambos, etc be made out of it?

well what I'm thinking is going to like allbodykits.com and getting a blitz front urethane, and blitz sides and rear out of fiberglass.

I want to spend minimal amount of money, so getting ultra high-quality fiberglass isn't a big option (though i am aware many urethanes cost more than typical fiberglass. The front bumper shouldn't be too bad of a fitement so I think I'll be allright.

If you go cheap, you'll get cheap shit.

Getting what you pay for is totally how the bodykits are.

if your interested in a blitz urethane front let me know, I am switching to a fiberglass one so mine could be avalable for the winter. its painted black with white pearl over it at the moment its in my gallery. I would sugest staying away from urethane, it sags. I am in wisconsin and I have a saggy nose, not cool. it does take a beating but the rest of my car is fiberglass and it takes a beating too and is much easyier to fix

Where can I find wings west aggressor front in urethane for a good price?

I think I'll go wings west front with blitz sides/rear.

correct me if im wrong, but cant you add additional figerglass and even chickenwire to the "cheap" kits to make them much stronger before even putting them on your car? I plan on ordering a cheap kit and fitting it on my car, after that im going to add another 2 or 3 layers of matting on the back of it.

Go with urethane, if you get good quality urethane parts(mounted correctly), flex will not be an issue. Also quality urethane parts are pretty much indestructable, and can survive pretty serious crashes and only need to be repainted(so repairing them won't be a problem)
