Front bumpers that don't reduce ground clearance much?

I've currently got a cracked OEM front bumper, and I'm considering my options. One option is to just get a nose mask and cover everything up. This has the benefit of giving the bottom of my bumper a bit of protection as well, and is cheap at ~$80.

Or I could just get a new bumper and paint it (going to get sideskirts too, so this might be a more viable option, since I don't know how well a nosemask will look with sideskirts.

the problem with a front bumper is that I currently only have 4" of ground clearance, and I want to actually be able to DRIVE my car without worrying about every little thing in the road (not to mention I have to frequetly go over speed bumps), so lowering ground clearance drastically is out of the question. I know blitz cuts off like 2+ inches of ground clearance, and that is not acceptable.

so what are some good options for a new front bumper that doesn't drastically reduce ground clearance? I'm looking for something that looks "not stock." I want people to know I paid money for the bumper :)

Also, since I am UBER cheap, could I get away with looking allright with a nosemask and sideskirts? Or will it just look plain retarded

I don't think the Stillen reduces much ground clearance. Plus it's urethane. Also, it looks really nice :).

stillen doesnt reduce clearance. looks nice too. just learn how to drive a lowered or kitted car.

guedo, the problem isn't driving a lowered OR kitted car, I can do that fine, it's driving a lowered AND kitted car. Does anybody have any links to any of the bumpers mentioned?

I see your in MA.. well, I live downtown Boston, and any "kit" would die in about a week. With the way people parallel park on my car.... it's ugly! Anyways, I made a lip for the 2gb eclipses.. if your front end isn't smashed up too bad you could always bolt it on and it would look great. If you got any front end, it's going to get caught and scraped. I can't count how many times I've seen a car with a smashed up front end :(

If you have a 1g car, then just put that nose mask on, it covers a heck of a lot up! Getting a front end is going to cost a lot of money, painting etc you're looking at around $500 for completed work in buying a bumper and painting it.

rice rocket, I AM in MA, but not boston, I'm over in western MA near springfield. I live in suburb, so I park in a driveway, and my work/school are basic parking lots. My bumper is in great condition, with the exception of there being no paint on the bottom, and there's about a 4" crack on the passenger side (skidded the clutch into a curb in rain when I was first learning how to drive stick).

It's a 2G, and I'm seriously thinking about just patching it up with a nosemask. My car is red, so I don't think it will look TOO bad.

how much is a nosemask from the dealor? it might be the same to get a used bumper off ebay. just a suggestion.

guedo, I've found the covercraft nose mask for $79. I can install it myself, I dont' need to get it painted/installed. It is a better deal than finding an oem replacement.

thats easier too. i spent alot of time on ebay trying to find a oem front in my color. eventually i said forget it and got the stillen.

I like the stillen front. It's between the stillen front (where can i find this), and a bra.

stillen front you have to get from stillen. its 500 shiped. pricey, but it looks great.

I looked for a stillen bumper on ebay, and theres none...damn they must be rare:confused: Damn they look GoOd though.I would buy a stillen rather than a bra, because the bras really are just a temporary mask..Some flap on the highway too,and chip away at your hood also...Atleast it did on my friends Camaro....Heres another pic of a clipse with the stillen I found.

here is what my car looks like. i love the stillen front. i know in the pics my car needs to be lowered, and needs side skirts, but when you see it in person it is fine the way it is.
