Do you need primer when painting your headlights with high temp paint ??...and how long did it take to dry and what not??

He's painting the housing or at least that's what im guessing. Anyway if you want you can use primer its all just personal preferance. I always primer anything i paint just becuase it seems to come out better than if i don't. As for drying just use light coats and it seems to dry pretty damn quick or at least it did when I did my valve cover.

Use krylon (sp) fusion paint. All you need to do is wipe down quickly with a paint thinner other than mineral spirits. Mineral spirits has oil in it. acetone will prob be the best. Then let that dry off completely and paint. That is the best plastic paint I have seen and requires no primer. If you are worried abou it flaking off scuff it with scotch brite pads first and then spray.
