Hey everyone, we just recently got into a new-to-us process with powder coating. We first do a coat of "Almost Chrome" as a base, then apply a translucent/metallic coating on top. I think it comes out beautifully...

We did this 420A valve cover Translucent Blue last week for a customer... I'm just curious about everyone's opinion to see if this might be worth getting more into...

I love it, more than regular solid ones, very very sweet IMO :thumb: ....Now my only question is what if you did that almost chrome base and then did a black transparent:confused: Ialmost have an idea of what it would look like and if I'm picturing it right it would look nice, and I'd get one in a hearbeat, if not this kind of blue would be my second choice maybe....website is added to my favorites when the time comes I go to do this :D

SM I'm looking for the chrome look for my 420a valve cover. Can you do a chrome powder coat or would it be better to polish it?

We can definitely give that a shot... my only concern would be the "almost chrome" not showing through the translucent black, but I think it might turn out good. Drop me an email at [email protected] and we'll go from there when you're ready.

How much for a 420a just like it?

The price will be $60 for a 420A, we have a special right now for 2G N/T's. Send me an email anytime if you'd like some more information or want to work out an order.

We can go either way... polishing would be the much nicer "chrome" finish but powder coating would be much cheaper. If you're worried about tarnish with polishing, we can also clear coat it when it's finished. Basically, just send me an email and we can lay out all the options in there.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I really appreciate it...
