Help, need picture of 95-96 talon with 97-98 bumper (bumper only no conversion).

I remember seeing a picture of a 95-96 turbo with only the front bumper changed somewhere but can't find the link. Anybody wanna gimme a pic? TIA

I'm sorry. I wanted a 97-98 Talon bumper on a stock 95-96 Talon. I wanted to see if the trimlines would match up on the two. I just can't get a good enough picture in my head.

hey man I just did that conversion about a month ago....I don't have a digital camera yet so I can't take pics, but i can tell you the only problem I had was the fog lights. I removed all of them and it fits like a glove. looks so ill too...good luck.

everything lines up except for the inside edges of the head lights, 97-99 lights come to a point while 95-96 lights are rounded
i dont think your going to be able to put a 97-99 bumper on without using 97-99 headlights unless you cut up the bumper to make the larger 95-96 lights fit

if you put 97-99 headlights on with a 95-96 or talon front bumper there is a gap about an inch or so square on each side where the inside corner of the light meets the bumper
if you use a 99 bumper with 95 headlights you would have to cut the bumper to slightly enlarge the hole for each headlight to accomidate the 95 style headlights being about an inch longer(on the inside edge nearest the center of the bumper)

my advice is to put some effort into this and find a used set of 97-99 headlights, they arent that hard to find and you can get them pretty cheap if you put effort into looking. when my friends 96 tsi(97-99 front conversion) caught fire in the front he got a headlight in good condition from a junkyard for well under a hundred bucks. it was actually in better condition then the undamaged headlight on the car in terms of how faded the black was

i did it to mine. DO IT!!

its a direct bolt up and there are no difference in any 2G Talon headlights so you will have no problems there. it looks great, even without side skirts. check my gallery for more pics if you want.

, i hate to tell you but the inside corner of 95-96 headlights are a different shape then the 97-99
i have seen this conversion done on a number of different cars and i have seen a talon with 97-99 loights on it, and there is a gap
99 lights are boxed out diagonaly on the inside corner, 95-96 and talon lights have a completly round corner
its not much of a difference, there is a shape difference that will prevent you from using a 97-99 bumper with talon lights

if you dont believe me then try it yourself, but dont say i didnt warn you when they dont line up with the talon lights
and farmdogg, if you have done this why no pics, in every pic of your car it has a talon bumper, i resent you trying to contridict me when iv done this conversion before and have seen it done several times before
my friend drove around with 97-99 lghts and a talon bumper and there is a gap big enough to toss a golf ball through on the edge of each light

There is a black 97 talon and maybe we can swap it on my car. The color wouldnt match since I have a white car...let me know

If yours has the sideskirts (btw if the 95 tsi in that pick is yours i have it on my hard drive for inspiration) send me a pic once you get the 97 nose on.
I want to see how the nose looks with the sideskirts (should match nicely).
