Anyone know how or where i can get a Flame thrower kit for my car, like in the 2 fast, 2 furious movie.

you could always just up your a/f ratio or take off your intake pipe and rev it

What, just becasue it's used in a recent trendy movie, it's rice now? I think it's actually pretty cool, even more so when you don't need a special kit to cause it.
actually alot of the muscle cars don't need a kit, their exhaust gets so hot and they have no cat so it ignites the unburned feul

...as much as I'm against these type of non-performance mods, with all the tailgaters we have around the Detroit area, it would be interesting to put one of those on my car and see what happens. ;)

Now that you mention the whole tailgating thing, I think its an awesome idea. L33T!!! :p But really, that would be the best way to teach those bumper queens out there to back off. No brake dancing, just a nice toasting. :thumb:

old muscle cars run rich and with a spark plug put into the exhaust it will light on fire on a fuel injected car you need a propane or second fuel tank to spray raw feul into your exhaust and a spark plug in the exhaust tip to light it
my friend has it on his truck and it looks pretty damn sweet at night to see 20 foot flames shooting out of his exhaust

What color does propane burn?

I got my flame thrower at flamedexhaust.com, works VERY good on my regular GS and GSX project car.

Also my friends RX-seven "backfired" or when ever he would just floor it, and get off the gas he would shoot out a flame... he had a silver car... the right side of his bumber was black.... LOL.... is this just because he wasnt running a cat? or because he has a rotary? i wouldnt mind that... LOL

Fuel Injecting doesn't mean another fuel source is needed. If you set your A/F to richen a little, remove the Catalytic converter and use a good open pipe or straight through muffler and it should pop flames on sudden releases of throttle and the increase in backpressure this causes. High horsepower Supras are known for doing this with test pipes and richer tuning. Now for flame throwing and longer bursts of flames on throttle you need everything mentioned above and spark plugs and a controller to set them off.

Now as for why you would want to do this in any place other than a movie is beyond me.

i have an rx-7 and they almost all do that because the exhaust temps are alot more than regular cars... thats why we cant use normal mufflers.. because they melt the insides

yeah I did a top speed run whenever I had my FC and the whole exhaust from the header back to the muffler was red hot. I used to hate driving around cause the car would pop and flame no matter how you drove it and people would always talk shit about it.

What a noble sentiment.

However, after erasing much more than half the crap here, I'm now pleased to give this one a nice, long drink of Prestone.

The question was answered.

The determinations regarding its utility, properness, F2F, and other characteristics don't matter.

And thanks so much for digging it back up and reminding me to KILL it. :thumb:
