Turbo timer help!!

I just recently got my dsm. The person who had it before me put in a HKS type 1 turbo timer. When I bought the car they told me it wasn't hooked properly. What the problem is that instead of taking out the keys fully to start the timer count down you must click it to accesories for the timer to start counting, this is a huge pain in the butt. can any one help me out with this I think it might be an easy fix.

Matt check the E-brake cable or print out a wiring schematic form the HKS website if they have one. See you around all the way baby lets kick some Honda A** those few O town fools will come our way someday
