people with b&m shortshifters

if you have the b&m shortshifter on your 2g eclipse/talon, could you tell me what the height difference between the shortshifter and the stock shifter is? thanks

I don't know the exact measurement but it's at least a an inch maybe more.

Its almost the same height. When I bought mine, I thought that I could just slap that bad boy on and have a shorter height, but you have to chop it yourself at a welding shop.

No your not suppose to chop it, what it is , its a short shifter not a shortER shifter. what it does it reduces the shift, if you compare them the bm is longer at the bottom and the pivot point is different, and the length on the top is actually around an inch shorter or even less. if you just want the shifter to be shorter chop the stock one not the bm,

I used to roll with the stock shifter hacked about an inch or so, the B&M I have now rests right about at the same height. I coudln't give you an exact measurement though. Its a great product, I highly reccomend it to all 2Gs coupled with the Symborski Shifter Kit

a NEW B&M shifter in NOT any shoter than stock, it only changes the throw of the shift, NOT the height.

It is changed my 30% and 50%t throw.

I find it funny how some guys say it didn't shorten the height of the shifter and other's say it does. Well I know for a fact it lowered mine by 1.125 inches. I measured it before and after.
It's a great piece. I have mine at 50%.

Well I know for fact I sat them side by side when I removed the stock one and there was no difference.
