I was just wondering how the turbo wing is mounted to the back of my RS...my car didn't come with any spolier from the start so there isn't any holes to cover up..I already purchased a the turbo spoiler I was just wondering how it mounts up so I can have the body shop mount it right..just like how they are mounted on the GST's I need some pics of upper views of a turbo spoiler so it can be mounted right...or will the body shop know this? thankz for the help...BTW is there any pics with a turbo spoiler on a 95-96 rear end? I am also upgrading to the 97-99 look also but for the time being it will be on a 95 rear bumper style...

If the body shop wont know how to do this..... look for another shop. You should'nt have ne problems.

Send me some pics when you get it on..... I am planning on getting one for my 97 RS pretty soon....

If there is no holes to fill than it shouldnt cost too much at all with paint included. Holes is the biggest problem converting a 3 piece low rise to the high rise. Here is a pic of my turbo spoiler and the distance it was mounted from the edge of the hatch after the low rise conversion.

You're an idiot if you pay someone 100 or more dollars to mount the spoiler. I did it myself in 2 hours, just take off the plastic under the hatch and start drilling, but line everything up. Look at my pictures and tell me it doesnt look good.

Woa...I didn't say I am going to spend 100 dollars more like 25 bucks...if that! but I know I wouldn't be talented enough to do it myself...but thankz for the help you guys..now all I got to do is paint it and I will be mounted on..and I will post pics too...and I'll send you mine Toppel 2g....~Dustin(Eclipse95)

hey i, wanna grab some opinions about that picture above.....
how do you think it would look with the spoiler bottom closer to the end of the hatch?.....maybe almost flush with it, cause that inch or so sticking out looks kinda weird

maybe the top of the spoiler is flush with the end of the hatch?

No turbo spoiler goes flush with the end of the trunk.....You'll understand once you mount it.

The way the top of the wing curves just meets the edge of the hatch, it would look retarded if the bottom part was flush with the edge.

I added a turbo spoiler to my GS recently... I came from the low three piece spoiler. I still have the holes but I sealed it with silicone, and used touch up paint on the silicone... u can check mine out in my gallery. Anyone know a price of filling the holes?

Ive searched around on here and a few people said that there is "indents" for holes to be drilled for on all hatches. Could someone pull their plastic hatch cover off and snap a pic of where the bolt holes go through for a 2gb eclipse high rise spoiler? Thanks

if you are trying to put a the wing on a hatch that dosent have a wing your best bet is to actually use a piece of clear plastic and drill through plasting where the holes are

hold plastic/lexan aginst wing and find holes mark with a sharpie

then center lexan on car and blue painter tape it into plan and back drill through lexan into car

when you back drill just spot the area with your drill bit that will give you the location then you can actually remove the the lexan and drill a little straighter through the hatch.

Here. This is what your looking for. Not a bunch of people asking questions to your question.... Two mounting points on each side.

I thought that all hatches had wings. If they were removed, wouldn't the bolt holes still be visible from the underside?

i think he is trying to put the laundry rack wing on the back in place of the shorter wing i believe the holes are different?? I could be wrong I am a 1g guy haha.

and I believe RS models came with no wing

RS/GS came with the low profile wing while the GSX/T came with the high bow wing.

I owned a gst with the low profile wing and I believe I have seen a number of 2g rs's lacking a wing all together as well as side skirts. its just depends on the car.

All 2Ga RS's did not come w/ a spoiler unless specially ordered. I believe 2GB RS's then came with the small stock spoiler from factory.

If I'm correct the gst, gsx and special edition/ oz package came with the high spoiler. rs/ gs came with none or low spoilers.
Is it me or the low spoilers are starting to look cooler. I get picked on to many cars when they see my high spoiler and missing gst sticker I accidentally pressure washed off. The think I'm a pos with a turbo high wing, LOL.
But to answer your question, tjbiker is right!

Thankyou Tjbiker031! I have a 95 eagle talon which had the thumbnail spoiler. Car is now swapped to a 2gb Eclipse but is spoilerless and the car looks like its missing something so i wanted to put the spoiler on. So i needed to see where the mounting points were to see if these "indents" in all hatches was correct.
