Here is the carbon fiber dash cover I am working on. I posted this on MachV but figured you guys/gals might want to check it out also. I know it is not for everyone...just wanted to show the update on this project. I will sand it now again, spray it with clear and then buff it out. The whole dash will now covered completely except for the front of the driver's pod area. That I will leave alone or put an aluminum dash kit there...I don't know. You won't see blue anymore on the dash. It (the dash) will be painted black before this goes in.

I don't really know...it is light but not like "space age" light. This was a wet layup, no vacumm bag, and a couple layers of gel coat. So I guess you could say it is more cosmetic (of course). How ever light it is it is still adding weight though. To me the trade off is worth it. And i don't have any subs or amps to slow me down.
I make 1g part but not much. www.stemarmotorsports.com is the reseller. The parts are not on my site (which is down for a few weeks while I switch ISP providers and rebuild the new site!)

DO not take offense cause none is intended...this is just for al in general since maybe a few more might ask. It isn't cheap. There is alot of time gone into making it and having it look like something you'd want in your car. Figure a carbon fiber hood can run you as high as 600-700 dollars...yes you can get them for as low as 300 probally if you search (but you get what you pay for mostly). Well these dash covers are not mass produced like those hoods and everyone is hand made personally.
I would rather you email me at [email protected] if you want the price. If I post it here and now I can just here the gasp of utter disbelief that I would dare charge as mch for something totally custom and not offered elsewhere. Hell, people are paying for carbon fiber headliners (i would).
But yes, I will make and sell you one. Right now there is a small wait as I already have 3 going to pre-paid customers.

Boogieman The dash looks killer but just one question. Is the carbon fiber cloth stretchy at all? Seems like it would have to stretch alot to conform to all those curves and bends. I think that is I were to try to use vinyl on that I would have a hard time getting it to conform. Good job man

I wouldn't say it is "stretchy" but you can work it around pretty well without hurting the weave once you are accustomed to working with resinated fabric, in this case 6 1/2' x 3' twice! I also have a spare dash at my shop that this was made off of. It will go in my car with an epoxy glue brushed on for adhesive. This dash is prety stiff, minimal flex. Once the fabric is wet and can cling to a surface it wil conform to curves and such pretty nicely as long as it isn't too extreme.

...and thanks for the good compliments everyone.....ya' know there is always one foot in the boiler when you post cosmetic mods like this. Once it is in the car I will post pictures again of the full dash and aluminum acents.

Gotta hand it to you..You make some nice shit there:) That I would love to have in my car but I have not the skills or the time to make it so I go another route. But dang....you are good with that stuff!!!

Keep up and make some more nice stuff!! *thumbs up*

So This Is A cover Not A Replacement?

Definitely not a replacement. That would be a very difficult part to make and have it look stock. I promise that it would take more than a one piece mold to make it. And then you have to remake the back side in order to have all the clip and mounting points for the dash and all other workings.....way too much trouble for what I am doing. I myself would be ferrified to see the tool and molding cost for a FULL replacement dash. (that isn't just a flat carbon panel with guages put in it).

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. I will post the rear seat area once it is done...should be nice.
