id like to bypass the amp and have my head unit power the stock speakers. Also, since there are 6 speakers total, do you just run the front door speakers in parallel with the front dash speakers?

the regular plug in the console contains wires for the speakers. The factory unit does not have an internal amp and so those wires are not being given signal. basically if you wire it up as if the center was all the wires there were and remove the amp it will be what you want.

i dont understand what you mean here :(

Anyway, i bought the harness to adapt my aftermarket head unit to the factory harness, what i want to do is connect the wires coming into the amp (which should now be high power because its coming from my head unit) and directly connect it to the output of the amp (which should be connected to the speakers)

Okay. Let me try again. That was quite unclear

The wires that are in the center console. Those are all the wires you need. The reason there is an amp, is becasue the stock deck has no internal amp. If you completely ignore that the amp exists, there are wires in the center console that are speaker wires. Just hook up your aftermarket deck as if there was no amp. Completely ignore the amp and its wires. use the ones in the center. (for example i think one of the speaker pairs is white with a blue strip and black with a blue stripe. that would go to like....the green and green with black. if you want. i will make a complete mapping of all the wires for you so its simple.

Basically, if you are trying to bypass the amp, pretend the car never had one and wire it up like any other car. Then it will work

(ive done so many deck installs, if this still isn't clear, let me know. maybe I can explain better when im not tired. or over the phone......)?

why are there speaker wires in the center console? i thought they all routed under the seat since it needs to be amplified 1st :( But yes, if they are all in the console, then I should be able to take it from there... thanks for responding :thumb:

they are in both. The reason being so that any deck can be put in normally. The amplifier is set up with the proper wires as well, but using just the ones in the console works for an aftermakrket deck. (thats what i did with mine till i put the stock one back)

why would you run new wires. all the wires necessary are in the center console on that one plug. the amp is a separate thing. The amp and factory two plug wires everywhere can be replaced with any aftermarket unit, no amp, and the stock center console wire plug.

These are the wires coming out of the factory head. The front dash tweeters are hooked up only through the factory amp, so they'll need wiring if you want noises out of them. They just pry up out of the dash, use a screwdriver and a rag- the grille is integral with the speakers.

wait a minute, is the OEM a 6 channel amp? or are the doors and dash just hooked up in parallel?

perfect!! would you happen to have an image for the amp as well? Both the flat harness and the DIN harness that connect to it.
