I've never seen it before. It looks pretty sweet. Are you going to cover up the dsm logo with a mesh or something, or leave it open like it is?

i was thinking about putting a black mesh behind the symbol, but then i was also thinking that i would just leave it open so you can see my Sony Xplode speakers. what do you think would look good? i have already started molding it into the door. it just needs a little more sanding then i will put on the primer and paint.

what color are you going to paint it? Ake me when it gets some paint. Now it looks like cardboard. But seems like a different idea though.

I think it would look good with the black mesh back ground, but really it is up to you.

I like your idea, but I was thinking for my car to spray paint the logo over the stock mesh cover. Keep us updated.

well actualy its plywood. i am going to paint it blue. because i am molding it into the door. so i am painting it the same color as the bottom dorr panel. i will try the mesh idea and see how it looks.

id go with mesh also .. ya should still be able to see through it to view the X'plodes

thanx for all the comments. i was kinda guessing that people would be givving me bad coments and dissing on me, but you guys have been cool. i am finishing the molding today or tomorrow. ill post up a pic of it after the sanding is done. then ill post a pic of it after i paint it. ill also try to post some pictures of it with the mesh and without the mesh.

GSXOTIC: i also thought about just painting the emblem on the speaker cover, but i didnt like the way it looked. so i decided to do this. but if you ever try it, i would like to see some pics of your work.
