Yes you do have to trim the stock bumper. I used a dremmel to shape mine up, took me about three hours for the procedure.
If you decide to keep the 5mph bumper which is right in behind the bumper cover you will probably need a sawzall to shape it. I decided to leave mine off to help save on weight and time. Good luck!Originally posted by miden
