I figured I wouldn't get flamed too much about this in this forum, but what exactly does it intail to get a feature on your car in a magazine? motor? looks? what kind of combo? my car is uniquely awesome looking for being mostly stock, but i'ts fast as hell. here are a list of my mods, i'll post pics someday as soon as I get a digi cam.

95 TSI FWD
black, 98 tsi front bumper
eibach pro springs( tien's on the way)
17" konig tantrums
note: my paint is mint, and the car looks really mean for some reason.
next to my friends eclipse all kitted out it still steals the show.
I had the car tuned and dynoed at pruven performance in milford CT and it dynoed at 275FWHP @16 PSI. upgraded turbo(big ported and clipped 16g) greddy fmic, 55occ injectors, walboro fuel pump, injen intake, full 3" thermal cat back exhaust, 2 1/2" down pipe, avcr,Safc and some other goodies that i'd prefer not to share.:). now i have ported the o2 housing, the turbo manifold, and intake manifold, and am running 20lbs of boost, so it rips pretty good.
many polished parts on the way as well. all in good time. what are your opinions, because it is def more go than show by far. any suggestions on what I can do? i don't want a blitz kit, or any old kit for that matter.
I was thinking veilside sides and a rear apron, and bigger rims, Volks I was thinking. sparcos, and harnesses. could I have what it takes? based on the info I gave you, I know no pics make it hard, but looking for ideas. thanks for putting up with my monster post.

LOL...in superstreet this month they have an article all about this. Go pick it up ;)

We almost got a DSM magazine last spring, but reality caved it in. The overhead on getting a magazine launched, and the mechanics of it seemed to have proven overwhelming.

As for getting into one that's already published, read a bunch of them and write up an article. Submit it and see if they'll bite.

I'm not trying to be argumentative, but whay is this so funny to people? i must say tho, I appreciate the imput. i'm just trying to get something other than a turbo civic in a magazine which seems to be the main feature rides. its just a dream of mine, and was looking for some input. i think it would be a great accomplishment, almost like a sho trophy, embedded in history for ever. I dunno, call me a ricer i guess. later.

I was laughing because just this month was an article about it...kinda ironic. not bashin on your goal, bro. I wish you the best.

if you get the september issue of import tuner there is a red 99 GSX article. also, the main car featured in magazines these days, at least the last couple of months, are 240sx's because of drifiting since that is the biggest thing to hit the streets in a while. but i agree that it would be awesome to finally start seeing dsm's get a little more respect in magazines instead of the damn 240:dsm:

hey guys, thanks for all the ideas. I got some bad ass bitches to pose on the car( friends of mine, LOL) and wrote super street and import tuner. I have some others i'm gonna write too. thanks for the help, and I hope to rep the DSM's to the fullest. i'll keep up with the details. later guys.
