How's yours holding up? Is your car a daily driver?

I was looking at getting an RM Racing lip, but I see that gsxtacy has red carbon fiber.:thumb:

Just wondering because I drive ALOT. I want something durable.

mine lasted 5 months before i had an encounter with a dip in the road. and b/c mine is a daily driver, that's why it lasted 5 months. i could have gone a year if i had a beater car. anyways, i just took the broke part and sanded it smooth and fiberglassed it back onto the main piece. i followed that up with 2 more coats of fiberglass, bondo to smooth it out, filler to fill in small areas, then sanded in between all that and finally primered it. as of now, the 3 coat of glossy black paint is on and drying. so today i'll be doing 3 coats of clear and once that's dry, i'll have her back on the car looking new again.

Thanks for the reply.

I could see why a dip would take that out. LOL..
Still $255 is a lil pricey.

For those of you who want to save a buck or two. I can make them in fiberglass instead of carbon fiber. Let me know through Pm. Thanks

Hey nick i emailed you about getting one :thumb:
Oh yea how did you trim your 97 bumper up to make the fmic show more? Later :D

I have emailed you back and I used a razor blade to trim my bumper cover. Thanks

How do you think it would hold up against pot holes on a non lowered '98 Eclipse? Nothing too big mind you.

Honestly on a non lowered car, you shouldnt have any problems. Even on very low cars they hold up to normal road conditions. Hope this answers your question!

2 questions.

1. can i install this myself?

2. did u just hack off all of the plastic? is there stuff that i should leave there?

1, yes you can install it yourself. the bodyshop drilled the holes for mine while it was being fixed but it should be easy to drill them. but i would think this, install the bolts that attatch to the spoiler that also attatch to the retainor. then once that's on, you can drill the holes in the exact spot where they'll need to be. then you can install those bolts/screwsand then you're done. hope that helps.

As Shuwa29 said, install is a breeze. Look forward to closing the deal! :thumb:

do u have any pics with the carbon fiber front? those look like fiber glass. thanks. i also sent ya an email about it a couple of days ago, hope to send u the money in about a week. how long does it take to make em too?
