no such thing.

Is the Mitsubishi FTO like the eclipse? Somebody told me that once, but I wasn't sure if it was true.

In japan they will use the 4g63 in different cars. So When sombody says they have a jdm 4g63 That is what they are refering to.

bummer...i thought there were elipses in japan....the european ones, they look pretty much the same except or the mirros and the amber tails,i love those..but 500 bux!! thats crazy,AWDpetmitsu thanks for the links dude ,by the way speedfreak03..whats an FTO ,those never made it here right??, thanks for the feedback guys....

Uh, if you didn't read those links, there were Eclipses sold in Japan.

i was only able to see pictures, all the writing was in like webdings font, unreadable.i wanted to find out if the eclipses had diferent bodystyle different wings and stuff like that, then from there try to get a hold of them and put em on my eclipse i thoguth it would be a really kool and unique thing to do but from what ive seen they look the same except for the amber tails, those cost quite a bit ill have to think twice but those LOL..BTW ide like to see one of those FTO's are they old like the station's,or newer models like 95 and up???

eclipse sold in japan are rare...has be to high price because in japan over there eclipse were not sold...the mitsubishi FTO is the closest model to the eclipse..the fto is almost like a big brother.... lbut like the mitsubishi 3000gt here has it over there in japan..over there the 3000gt is called the GTO..

FTO was a 2.0L V6, kinda stupid, but good for almost 200hp, NA, not too bad, better than the 420A. btw, ive seen an EVO VII (in the june or july Sport Compact Car mag) that was 4G63 equipped and was over 600hp, and could break all 4 tires loose from a 70mph roll in 3rd :D too bad i cant even do that with my 2wd :( anyhoo, hope that helps ;)

Uhh... if you didn't notice, those are all LHD cars.. meaning.. not sold in Japan

Yes, they did sell Eclipses in Japan. Yes, they were all LHD, they never made any RHDs, since all models were built at the Normal, IL plant. They are somewhat rare, but they do exist.

The Eclipses sold in Japan are identical to the ones that went to Europe and other parts of the world - see the threads about the DSM Club in the Phillapines (in the Hangout)for more info & pics).

Just did a search and wanted to add some pics

Holy cow did any of you guys realize anything on that first pic?. The black eclipse has rain vizors. Which to me is interesting and something I always wanted. Since our windows have no frame around it no one makes it, but that eclipse has em? thats pretty cool. Time to do some research.

Anyone find out about those visors yet? Somebody tried braking into my car and bent my window out, now it doesn't close all the way and I'm sure when it rains I'm going to get soaked =\
