i am getting a cd changer for my girlfriend's 96' Audi A4. it has a cd option but no player and would like to get her a 6 cd changer, i am familiar with car audio stuff but have never installed a changer on an OEM deck. what do i have to look for in compatibility when buying a changer? what kind of wires do i have to tap? will there be a plug on the stock unit for the changer? thanks for the help

Since there is a cd option, im 99% sure that you can hook up a CD changer to that deck. But, it might be proprietary or something. I would first pull the deck out and see what jacks are back there. Hopefully somebody that has done this on an Audi can help you, because I did it on a 99 accord ex once, and there was a jack there, but I forget if I needed a harness or adapter (it was four years ago, and it's not my car). Anyway, good luck!

I put a 10-changer in the Talon, but it was all factory parts and pretty much fell in, other than having to run the GS-X data cable that Talons don't get. Once you get the right cables, it's pretty simple.
