I was just wondering if anyone here has purchased gauge faces from www.importintelligence.com (1g or 2g, or any other car for that matter...)

I am not considering buying guage faces from them, I already have blue reverse-face guages to match the color scheme of my car. What I wanted to know is if they come with the blue-colored needles.

If I pay the $25 some bucks for the package does it come with blue needles? EVERY pic of EVERY car shows blue needles...

Just wondered. If you know where I can buy just plain old blue needles that would be a help too.

I bought the face gauges and the needles that Import Intelligence sells. I had it on my 1G Eclipse (before my wife had a baby and I sold the car).

For those looking to buy the face gauges, they are made from vinyl sheets and are basic stickers that have cut out in them to place on your existing gauges. I would not recommend them.

About their needle kits, the kit has 4-8 led lighs depeding on what you need for your car. They are connected to a controller by a very thin wire. The way to install it is that you have to take your existing needles, sand off the stock color that's on the other side of the needle to make it transparent, and then feed the wire through the hole in the guage and connect it to a power source. There are 3 leds for the big needles and 1 led for the small needles. THEY DO NOT COME WITH NEEDLES. The controller has an intensity level on it that you can control, so you can control brightness.

Every pic of every car that you see is advertised with the needle kit installed, and for the light to shine through, you have to take your existing needles out and sand the back side. I had them for 8 months and didn't have any problems.

I hope I answered most of your questions. :dsm:

i bought guage faces from them, had a decent experiance. but don't know about needles

when i did my needles red, i scraped off the orangish paint on the back of the needle, and carefully used a red permanant marker, and went over it about 5-8 times with the marker. turned out really nice. you could try a blue marker, or some blue transparent paint. should work nicely, and cost a lot less too! worst case, it doens't work and you order some from somewhere anyways.

good luck, post results!

IMHO I would save yourself the money and do the needle LED yourself. It will save you like $70 becuase the bulbs are only like 30-60 cents a piece depending on the rating of MCD's is.

Say my name!

yea import intelligence is 80 bucks or something

I would not buy from Import Intelligence again. When I first bought from them I thought they were plastic overlays for the gauges. Instead they are just stickers that you have to put on yours. They have to be perfect because you can get air bubbles and shit in them and also, once you finally get them on and perfect, you can freakin see through them. They blow.
