well its like this, i tried to put a system into my car, and what happens is my speakers are ringing... but this only does this after i start my car, and the pitch differs when my car dips up and down between voltage movements...

basically we think its the altenator... because it does not do this when the key is turned only when the can is on... The only no performance mod i seem to have and evolve is trying to reject it.. if anyone else has had prior experience or knows whats up pls help. ^^; domo...

pls. move this to non performance...

Is it a whining kind of sound? And does it get louder as you rev the engine? If so then your wires are getting interference from the engine. If it was the alternator other parts of the car would experience problems as well. Seperate your power cables and rca cables. find a GOOD ground point for everything. Good luck.

Yeah It's your wires picking up voltage gains and dips in the engines electrical. I used to have PC speakers that picked up only 1 local radio station. Radio signals are emitted from all eletrical sources (I think all of them?)

If your lights dim whenever your subwoofer hits, do NOT keep it like that. I left mine like that for an extended period of time, and it WILL burn your altenator. Altenator's are a bi*** to replace on an eclipse too. The way the altenator is located and bolted down, the axle sometimes needs to be removed to get them off....

The reason lights dim is the fact that the amps/subs are pulling more input from the altenator than the altenator can output. I know :(.....I burnt mine....Always use a capacitor :) The invest of $100+ os well spent and worth it.

wow i have this same problem , but i just over looked it and dont care anymore.... LoL

What source is the sounds coming from? Radio (tuner) or CD, mp3, XM? If its radio, you may just have a bad ground on either your head unit of back at your antenna. If its all sources, then its probably your wiring. Make sure that you have the remote turn on wire and RCAs running on the opposite side of the car from the power lead from battery to the amp. Also, is this sound coming from only the amplified components or from every speaker? You could just have the + and - leads mixed up with the RCA cables. It may be something as simple as that. Check all connections, make sure RCA's are good, and most importantly, your grounds. Just because the unit turns on does not mean the ground is sufficient especially with a amp. Would not be your alternator though, although if your lights dim when the bass hits, get a capacitor and a larger power wire... I blew my alternator and my battery at the same time with my old system (of course I was a dumb a$$ and let it play for about 45 mins without my car on). Good luck though!

its coming as my voltage changes... and it is just the speakers, also everything is attached to my amp... and the power and rca cables are run at the opposites of my car... thanx for those who replied
