does anyone know where the cheapest place is to get an oem carbon fiber hood? i want a good quality hood but dont want to pay an arm and a leg. the cheapest ive found so far was at www.prostreetonline.com they have carbon fiber hoods there for $310. anyone know any place cheaper than that or are they my best bet? thanks:dsm:

If its not crappy and is only $310 that is hella cheap. BUT they are probably gonna charge an arm and a leg for shipping. I just bought a VIS cf hood from a guy in my area for $375 :thumb: I got a good deal IMO:) OR you could see if anyone is doing a g.b. for em

try PMing Tom Sawyer on here, hes selling stuff through his company, and i know last night we were thinking about a cf hood for my 99' GS and i think he can get ya a good price... PM or AIM him

I got mine from www.stemarmotorsports.com and it is the same one from prostreet and let me tell you now that this hood is awesome in quality for that price!!!! I am in composites for a living and have had Fiber Images for a few years before it flew off. Vis looks great but the skeloton underside is just "tack" bonded (as is FI too). This hood from Stemar/Prostreet is COMPLETELY bonded underneath! Beautiful latch...STILL USE HOOD PINS!!! Great finish too. Go for it! You'll be just as happy as if you had a 600-700 Fiber Images hood. I was very suprised,VERY!! Nice hood. Check Steve out and tell him Leo from Carbonwerks sent you!

i also must compliment the quality of the hood i got from prostreetindustries. im not sure how much shipping would be though, i had the luxury of driving up the road several miles to pick mine up.

make sure you install hoodpins.
