im talking like ripout the stock gauge cluster and made your own ?? i plan on doing this over winter just wondering if anybody else has attempted to try it on a DSM.

if so got pictures or anything?

Funny you ask, i just put mine back in last night. I'm not sure if you meant a custom dahs or repainted. I completely stripped may car a repainted everything black and painted the dash with vinyl paint. I also added some red accents here and there, nothing too ricy IMO. As for pics, my digi cam is supposed to be here soon. Its been on backorder for a while so i don't think i will have pics for a while. I'm not sure this is what you meant but oh well, let me know.

no im looking for a fully redone dash. (all new gauges and everything)

i want to ripout my dash and redo it in fiberglass. and be painted to match the car also.

Hmm that would be a challenge but a cool project. I guess you could rip out the dash and make a fiberglass mold simalar to the dash. You could also add things or change shapes as you like. Once you get the shape you want then you will have to reinforce the basic shape by adding more layers of fiberglass. And of course you will need some experience with fiberglass or just be brave and go at it. I'm sure you could find some good info on custom dashes and fiberglass with a yahoo search or something.

yeah i have worked with fiberglass before. ive made custom kick panels. and done trunks/interior but this will be my first dash.

what id do is probably take the stock one. get some nice wire mesh thats stiff and bend it to the stock form. them form the fiberglass on the metal mesh and do probably 2 layers. then make the modifications how iwant it. then after that id put another 2 layers on. then bondo and paint.

thats custom to but not as extreme :)

I think it's a great idea, it personalizes your car in a way that (for the most part) no one else can copy. I don't know of anyone on the forum who has already done this, but maybe you can be the first...
