Replacement Head Unit

What are the option for a replacement head unit to the factory unit on a 1G that dont require much of a face plate due to size differences? I would like to replace it with something good that is about the same size. Any thoughts?

Any specific models? Do they come with both CD and Cass? I would imagine is has to be a combo unit to ocupy all that space... or any idea of a unit with an in dash changer that will fit? I just do not want to have to fill the gap with trim.

Ooooh it's got a TAPE player....sick . I agree with Alpine and Pioneer. Eclipse HUs are good for CD play but the tuner sucks.

DIN is pretty much DIN, you should be able to get anything that's up to spec in there. Be sure to get a harness convertor so you don't axe the factory wires.
