well guys i have figured out a cool little way how i'm gonna mount my boost guage where the a/c button is so it'll be clean and stealthy. only problem is how do you get the center vents out of the way to get the whole main black trim piece out? i got everything else around it but the center vents seem to be holding it in still.

It's not the center vents. It's wires that go to your little defroster button and rear windshield wiper buttons. I made the mistake by ripping it off cause i was frustrated and now my rear defroster doesn't work. :( I didn't have a problem with the vents.

the vents have a little clip on each side on the inside of the vents.
it took me a lot of prying and prodding to figure that out...just use a little flathead screwdirver to pop them off and it slides right out.
good luck and post pics when your done.

actually i opted to go a different route cuz there were too many clearance issues with the original idea. so now i mounted it in the center console where the little coin pocket was. very clean and stealthy. i'd take pics of it but i don't have a digicam at the moment.
