Key Hole Camera?

I was trying to find, a camera small enough to fit into the trunk of my 1st gen, it would replace the key hole in the trunk, anyone have any idea where i would go about finiding custum video cameras or anyone who might have done this already? thanks for the help!

The cheap "webcams" every one sells should work fine- one pulled from the housing, they're about 1¼" square. You might want to epoxy-dip it to mount near the elements like that.

A friend of mine bought a camera for his car from a spy shop. I think he spend about $200. Try the web camera first!

not yet i found some stuff on ebay,
but its all relay cameras to the rear view or LCD screen in the car, i want some digital recording devices, I found small digital camera that records in AVI format any where from 3 - 55 minutes depending on the memory card thats for my in car view, i making a pipe that runns form the floor between the 2 front seats to the roof with a l bracket to mount the digi camera, but still looking for a small recording camera for the rear, i will post site up if i find

thanks man, yeah i found stuff like that but its wireless i need a unit that will record onto it self like a digital video camera, but small enought hat i can rig in the hatch

hey v8 hunter.
I saw a 1g about 1 year ago that had set up a small motherboard in the trunk kinda like a full pc without the tower. He did it really nice. he had tons of storage space on two hard drives, ran his mp3s,dvds and a small cam of it. He had it hooked up to a monitor in his glove compartment with a wireless keyboard and mouse. pretty cool I wish I had pics
anyway good luck. I'de like to see how it turns out.

^^^^Yeah that sounds like it would work, if i used an old computer strip it just for the hard drive, or better yet use my laptop, just have it hooked up to it, i found a small digi camera that records in AVI, but its still not small enough, i let everyone know when i found everything and have it hooked up but it looks like i will go the laptop route, just need a small enough camera for it...thanks
