1g Antenna Connection

My 92 Talon didn't come with an antenna, so today when I went to install one there wasn't anything to screw into, and I didn't see a wiring harness either. What parts do I need to connect a normal antenna? I searched for wiring diagrams but didn't find much.

? ? ? How did you manage to get one out of Normal with no antenna? Has it been customized? It's supposed to be on the left-rear fender.

The last owner took off the stock antenna for a cleaner look. He plugged the hole where it comes up at the left rear.

When I looked in the rear fenderwell area inside the hatch there wasn't anything to screw an antenna into, or a wiring harness to tap.

So my question is what do I need to pick up from a junkyard in order to connect it?

Well, a whole antenna. They more or less clamp to the bodywork, there's a boss on the bottom and top, and a ferrule that holds the two together. Can you find the old hole?

Or, you may want to check into a "glass" antenna, small wire on tape that goes right on the inside of your windshield. They really seem to work pretty well, and you'd never see it if you weren't looking for it. Try Wal*Mart or Radio Shack.

Well I already have an antenna, just a shorter, flexible one. It fits perfectly into the stock hole. The problem is that within the rear fenderwell area there is no connection to screw the antenna into.

You lost me with that one. The stock antenna is just a screw-in metal whip like your flexible one, a manually retractable will have a tube below it for the retracted rod, and an electric (like the fancy-schmantzy Eclipses got, those little faags) will have both a tube and a motor.
