Gauge Pillar Pod Questions!!!
Im having a hard time deciding on what guages and gauge pods to go with. I know for a fact that im going with a tripple pillar pod and im going to use 3 gauges - EGT - BOOST - A/F - Oil Pressure (probably).
Its going to be out of those 3 so im not 100% sure on which 3 yet.

My question is this tho.

Im deciding between 2 different setups. So ima ask you guys opinion.

Ultralite Autometer Gauges - Tripple Pillar Pod - 52mm Gauges
Defi D Link - 60mm Gauges Tripple Pillar Pod

I really like the defi's but i cant find a cheap place for them and im not going with the expensive gauges because i dont like those at all. I want all ONE TYPE OF GAUGE and dont want a gauge of one type and one gauge of another.

Does defi have those gauges i listed all in one type of gauge set and how much would it cost for those 3? boost/egt/af

Im really loving the autometer series that i said or maybe the phantom series and im kinda liking the defi's tho. But i dont think they make what i want.

Are the autometers good?
If the defi's are better, tell me why? FACTS ONLY PLEASE

Thanks guys!

Dont like those, but thanks for commenting.
Its one of these two. I dont want one in KPA. I like PSI and its what i know and therefore what i want. If you think either of the ones i have listed are nice then please vote on those.

Also don't get an af gauge. Waste of money and space. IMO they should be called disco gauges.

Im gettin it to watch, and kinda see if im runnin rich or lean all the time. Not just for show.

Have you ever seen the defi gauges?

They are not, I repeat are not acurate. You will get much better readings from a datalogger.

I've seen the defi's at night. They look ok. You will like them if you like reverse indiglo guages.

Dumbass I didn't mean they look exactly like that. I meant they dont look indiglo, look more reverse.

Dumbass.... :|

Thats amusing.
Dude the best thing you can do is remove your comments from this thread because im trying to get help. Not trying to get it locked.

Quit being a dick.

For a good std gauge get VDO.

Autometer blows llamas

They other ones are spendy,

Skip the A/F guage.

The defi setup is like 1/2 if not more of the price of DIY WB 02

You can get defi gauges all over. The best/chapest place with excellent
customer service is Gruppe S (www.gruppe-s.com). They rule. I was
also thinking of those gauges ... they are the best looking ones I
have ever seen, but I had an issue with the metric units. I like to see
boost in PSI not BAR, although the conversion is simple.

I personally went with Omori 60mm Peak/Hold/Warning gauges.
They are ultra-pimp and they are in US units. I would personally go
with these.

I did a whole conversion on my car with Omori's. You can see details
of all gauges in the boxes, plus installed (day/night) in my web page.

Here it is:

I didnt see the D Series Defi Gauges on that site for sale. I like those Omori's but they are a little on the steep side. $185 per gauge isnt what i was lookin to pay. Maybe 150 per gauge at tops tho, thats why i was thinkin the defi's.

Those omori's are peak hold and playback tho right?

Yeah, the Omori's are expensive, but they are well worth it.
Yes, they are peak/hold & warning. If you want $150 or below
for cool gauges, then you could consider Greddy NON-Peak/Hold.

Auto Image Exhancements

Those are Greddy 60mm non-peak and hold.
Prolly the cheapest place to get those.

http://www.aieonline.com/135/cat135.htm?945

60MM BOOST GAUGE BLACK-------------> $ 135.36
60MM E.G.T. GAUGE BLACK------------> $ 156.96
60MM OIL PRESS. GAUGE BLACK--------> $ 156.96
60MM TEMP. GAUGE BLACK-------------> $ 106.56
60MM FUEL PRESS. GAUGE BLACK-------> $ 156.96

Gruppe-S sells the D-Gauges at very reasonable proces, they are not listen on the site, call them and ask about it. They will hook you up.
Shipping is also free. They ship with the ghetto FedEx Ground, but if it
is free you canno beat it :thumb:

I dont like the greddy gauges, that whole "BAR" thing i just dont agree with.

I called group-s and found out the defi's i want arent made in 60mm so i think ima end up ordering the defi's in black 52mm. Either that or im going to just go a cheaper route and go with the autometers. Because i really dont see a point in me paying 400+ bucks for 3 gauges and a pod.

Someone point me to some F A C T S that the autometers arent that great of gauges and that they actually dont tell exact measurements and ill be going with defi's. Otherwise i think that the autometer phantom or autometer ultralites are going to be my gauge of choice.
