Ok, just out of the blue yesterday my parents said, my car looked dull with its stock grayish color. So they said make some calls and find out how much it costs to get it painted. So I was a little shocked, mostly because my parents hate the idea I have a turbo car. Anyway I was wondering should I stay with the gray and make it detailed or something or just go with a new color. IMO I think maybe dark blue...tell me what you guys think

I love black for a car color. I want to eventually get my car painted black. I'm wondering if the paint places would go as far to paint everything that's silver on my car, black. Because that would mean the wheel wells, the engine compartment, behind all of the paneling.

Go to a shop where trophies are visible on the wall. The guys that enter and win car shows are willing to give you a car that is a business card for them, something that places like Maaco won't do. Of course, it costs more, but just like yer girlfriend, you don't show off the interior...

Changing colors on a car is a nuisance, and the cost of a decent paint job will make a helluva down-payment on your next one. Plus, now much do you worry about door dings and key jobs now? Anymore, nice stuff is just a vandal magnet. Save the money, or just spend a trickle of it on a day at a detail shop.

Changing would be an aggrivation unless you dont do the jams and all.I think the best route to go is with a metallic silver so the door jams wont look too noticable when you open the doors and it'll give your car a better look without the hassle of painting doorjams and the engine bay. Also silver is the hardest color to see scratches and dings.I work at a bodyshop :D
