Mirror underside of hood??

Ok. I've been cleanin up my engine the past few days, and I've been tryin to get creative and do some stuff that would make my car stand out at a show. I want to make the underside of my hood have mirrored pieces between the support braces. Those of you who have seen this, know what I'm talking about. However, I've seen this done, but only in pictures, so I don't know what materials were used. I was thinking some kind of mirrored film or tint would work, but that emits a blurry image. Does anybody know what is normally used for this look.

My only thought would be to make templates of the spaces between the bracing under the hood and then have a glass/mirror shop cut some custom mirrors out....glue magents to the back of the mirrors and then put them on when at shows....take them off for daily driving.

Is that stuff safe for daily driving? I would think the heat produced in there would destroy anykind of film.....

FROM FOLIATEC --> its a company here in Gemany,they make window foils and neon stuff etc,im sure u can find it every where in the US..its like in every shop here,im sure u can find that at ur local Autozone..

Great, I already got that part... except... well Discount Auto Parts, Autozone, Pep Boys, and the local performance shop all looked at me like I had two heads when I told them what I was looking for... so back to square one. Maybe it's just that Foliatec is a GERMAN company, and YOU are in GERMANY, and not many US shops purchase GERMAN products... mostly JAPANESE??? just a guess?

That looks good. I'd likely keep some insulation under it to further protect the paint from engine heat.

I'd be surprised those guys could _tell_ there were two heads. Even on a V-8.

yea i saw this on a turboed civic at a show it didn't look all that bad..... but it was a very very nice engine
