I got quoted from $400-$500 in my area

I just had mine done two weeks ago. This is what I had done.
All holes welded shut. including antenna( get them welded you will be happier in the long run)
Turbo wing painted to match car
hatch and quarter panels repainted
Turbo wing mounted
and I had my front bumper painted to.
it all came to a total of $800

I didn't want to start another thread so i thought i'd post my question here.
I am planning to have my high wing mounted this weekend and i wanted to know if covering up the old holes with just bondo is good enough or will it cause problems in the future ?
Any input on this will be greatly appreciated.

If you do all the prep work yourself, youre gonna save yourself tons of money. Theres another way to patch them if you dont wanna deal with welding them. Ive used this method on an integra im building and the results were great.

Get some panel bonding adhesive, scrap sheet metal, body filler, and all the other things youre gonna need to prep the area for paint. Cut pieces of the sheet metal to patch the areas and glue them to the back side of the hole. Make sure you scuff it up and clean the area as well as you can before you do it. Wait at least 12 hours before you do anything else. Waiting 24 would be better. After that, all youre gonna need to do is go for the normal procedure to prep the car for paint. If you do everything properly, youre never gonna be able to tell that there was a hole there.

i did all the work myself to my spyder and took it for a paint job, its not had at all, if you were from around here i would of help you install it .

Thanks guys for the input, i think i'm going to another dsm'ers house and he will help me out with welding the holes shut.
